PRODUCTION

Sintering is the process of compacting metal powders in custom designed molds and heating compacted materials in special controlled atmosphere ovens to produce high presicison metal parts in various forms.

Main processes in the production flow are the followings:

  • Design and Manufacturing of the Mold

  • Determination and Preparation of the Right Powder Mixture

  • Compaction of the Powder in Custom Mold

  • Sintering the Parts in Sintering Oven

  • Deburring

  • Second Compaction for Calibration (optional)

  • Second Sintering for Increased Hardness (optional)

  • Coating (optional)

  • Heat Treatment (optional)

  • Oil / Resin Impregnation (optional)

ADVANTAGES

Sintering and powder metallurgy technologies provide many advantages versus the conventional manufacturing technics.

One of the biggest advantages of sintering is to ensure lower cost versus conventional production methods. After the initial mold design which follows by mass production in sintering, customers obtain very competitive prices and the price gets lower with increased quantity.

Thanks to advancements we made in sintering mold and press design, even many complex shaped parts can be produced without the need of complementary processes.

Instead of machining each part one by one, it becomes possible to obtain the final part shape with superior surface finish quality via sintering with one single operation.

Sinter parts which are produced with powder metallurgy ensures homogeneity and very high precision.
